I had those bright still out on my desk. I recreated a card I made recently but with some slight changes. You can see that version on my Instagram feed. Love the gold embossing powder on black. So elegant. How do you tend to use your scraps of cardstock?

Simple Cards that Use Your Stash
Got a few cards done this week so I am here sharing with you. Drink is a digital stamp, I believe from Prettygrafik Design, cut out with my Cricut. Sentiment I made on my computer with Cricut sticker paper. I have a blog post on how I do this. This is a great way to personalize your own sentiments. Patterned paper is from Recollections blush and mint collection which I have almost used up. 🙂
I really like this card design because it showcases all that pretty paper.

Father's Day Cards

I used a stamp set I received with a stamp magazine. I loved how it turned out. This one is going to the hubby. This is the retiform technique I have seen some trying..I haven't done this in quite a while but still love it when I find the right color combo and stamps. I used Pacific Point ink from Stampin up and London fog from Momento. I think this color combo gives this card a cool feel.
This one for my father in law who lives on a farm. Thought the simple silhouette with the oxide blended background and the rays would be perfect. I used a combo of Fossilized Amber and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides for the background. The rays were created by blending in more fossilized amber using a stencil.
This was all created in Design Space in Cricut. It is a blend of several different images in DS. The images were cut in black cardstock or gold mirror cardstock. The Layers I did manually with paper from my stash along with more mirror cardstock.

For the last card, I had a request from a friend for a custom Father's Day card for her son. This is what I came up with thanks to some vinyl and Cricut design space.

Decor Panel Piece Using Popsicle Sticks!
I have seen such wonderful silhouette projects on Pinterest using popsicle sticks that I wanted to try it during this time of sheltering in place. I had all the needed materials already so that made this project even better! You can see how I put the last panel piece together by heading over to my YouTube channel or watching it below.

Cards- With No stamping

I used Distress Oxide inks in worn lipstick and fossilized amber to make a blended background. I added Brilliance moonlight white with a stencil of triangles. Then I added a white feather along with a die-cut HI sentiment. I added a few clear sequins for sparkle. Simple but I loved how it turned out.
While I had everything out I decided to do another card. This one doesn't fit with Kristie's challenge but still is appropriate for the Ways to Use It Challenge from 4/16/20.
My scraps from my easter cards led to the main panel. I had cut my scraps into strips and made panels of "cardstock" out of them. I kept this card simple by adding a pink die cut border to the bottom. I added the white die-cut banner on top with the black sentiment hugs at the bottom. I am going to add this card also to an Anything Goes Challenge #184 over at Creative Fingers Challenge Blog.
I hope everyone is staying safe. Take some time to get creative out there...I know it helps me to stay calm during this time so Hopefully it does the same for you.

Entering a couple of Challenges...
I had forgotten how fun it is to enter challenges until last week when I entered Kristie Marcotte's challenge on Instagram. You can find her latest one by searching for #kristiescardchallenge. You will also find each week's contestants using the hastag.
But back to this lovely fairy card. I found a couple of challenges I felt I could combine which led to this card. The digital stamp is from prettygrafik design. (By the way, there is a link but this post is in no way affiliated...I just love their digital stamps.) My medium of choice for the coloring was Copic markers. I used scraps to do all the die-cutting while adding a fabric washi layer. I know the trend is to add a sentiment to the outside of the card but lately...I have been enjoying doing things old school by leaving a sentiment off. That way I can customize it when I am ready to give it by adding a sentiment on the inside or maybe even on the front.
I am adding this card into a couple of challenges. 1. Creative Inspirations April Challenge: April Showers & Flowers. 2. Papercraft Challenges: #56 Pastel Colors.
Head on over to these great blogs to see all the entries...there are amazing cards showcased.

More Card Goodness
Here are some more cards I have been sharing on Instagram. I challenged myself to use up some images I have either had colored for a while or in my die cut bin. Here's how those are turning out.
