Today I used Cricut Design Space to upload a couple of the digital papers I have in my Esty Shop to make some super cute, quick, Halloween Cards.  Using Design Space and my Cricut really helps me to use the paper as I want.  I sliced out of one, but the other I just resized.  This made the card I wanted in my head come to reality.

Using Digital Paper to Make a Treat Holder

I made such a simple treat holder with this digital paper. Anyone can do this. You can add small treats, maybe even a bracelet. This would be great for co-workers, friends, or something different for those trick-or-treaters so what’s inside is a surprise.

If you didn’t know I now have an Etsy shop. It houses digital products as well as physical products. Here is an example of one of the digital papers I just released. The great thing about digital products is the price point, the fact you don’t have to store a physical product, you always will have it to pull out to use, and they can be used in so many ways. I hope you will check out my Etsy shop, the link is below. This particular product, I will but uploading another idea for this particular print, so hope you will check out that video that will come out likely next week.

My Card is Upside Down, Time to Fix It

I have been making a few Halloween Cards. I made up a couple of cute sets, but as I was going through them, I realized that I had completely turned one of the card panels upside down. Ugh! Ever had that happen? Well, that means I got to get it fixed in case someone wants to purchase it through my Etsy shop. This video shows the simplest way I have found to do this. Hope it helps you next time you put your card panel on upside down.

Making Some Spooky Cards

So I used this stencil I had to make another card that you will see eventually. Then looking at it I realized it kind of reminded me of a cobweb. It also matches some Halloween stickers I had from last year...One thing led to another. Also, at the time of this post these spooky cards have been sold. However, I do have some other Halloween cards available in my shop. Follow the links to my Etsy shop or to Buy Me a Coffee in the commissions' area if you wish to make a purchase.

Dollartree Inspiration

Some Spooky panels made I into cards. Thanks Dollartree for all the inspiration. For the top card, I just added some bat washi tape to make it stand out a bit more.  For the one in the middle, I added black cardstock and washi tape to create the corners.  For the last card, I just trimmed the ruffle cupcake wrapper trim so it would fit the panel.

You can get so creative just by using some dollar tree items in your cardmaking.  Great for those who have a limited budget for crafting.

Washi Witch Hat Card

I don't about you but I have a lot of washi. So I am always trying to incorporate it into my cards. Today I made my own witch hat by drawing the hat on the piece of cardstock and cutting it out. Then on the card base, I just layered up all my Halloween washi. It lacked some pizazz so to step it up the cutout piece I sent through my die-cut machine with an embossing folder. That added some texture to this simple card. I then added some bling in the embossing design for a bit of sparkle. Hope this inspires you. Yes, there is a video too if you would like to see it here.

Spooktakcular Spider Card

I think this can be done by anyone! One cute spider card made with just a few items. A fine-point pen to draw the spider webs and spider legs. A punch or die to cut out a few "spiders" (just circles). Then you have to have some googly eyes to make this super cute. For the sentiment use what you have. I had washi tape that said Happy Halloween so that is what I went with. I could see doing this with kiddos too. Hope you get a chance to play with your stash today!

There of course is a video showing you how to make the card. You can find it here.

Washi Frame Card-Halloween

I know...more washi! But these cards are so fast. They are totally fun as well. This is another card that is great for beginner card makers. The card only needs a few items to make it, totally budget-friendly as well.

I have a quick video over on YouTube putting this together. Head on over here.

Another Washi Tape Halloween Card

I broke the washi out again to make a cute little design for my next Halloween card. I cheated a bit on this one...I didn't have any DollarTree stickers or anything to add. I tried my own writing but as usual, wasn't loving that so I added a few die-cut ghosts and bats. That just made the card. Hope you enjoy. I have a short video over on YouTube you can find here if you want to check it out.

Lollipop...anyone?

I was looking for a cute way to gift some sweet treats this Halloween.  While stalking Pinterest I found this cute little project.

You can find the tutorial here.  If you want to repin then follow this link.

The cute little scalloped circles and critters I put on the front of these lollipop holders came straight from Cricut Design Space.  They were free with Cricut Acess.

I knocked out about 20 these in 1 1/2 hours.  So now these are ready to go to my co-workers on Halloween.  I also recorded a quick tutorial in case you are a visual learner like me.

The only problem with the video is I recorded it upside down.  Now in Youtube I am trying to correct this but not sure if it will be successful since I tried this yesterday without luck.  But if it remains upside down I hope it gives you the gist of how to do this.

I hope you get to do something creative today.  I was giving my Cricut it's usual weekend workout...but it stops cutting halfway  in my project....so a frustrating craft day here.  Hope yours is going well.

Coffin Project from Design Space

As Halloween approaches, I have wanted to try out a couple of cute ways to give some treats to friends or co-workers.  Today I wanted to share with you this really easy Coffin that I made by using a Design Space image from Cricut.

This might not be the way you package some treats for kiddos, but for co-workers, especially those who like the creepier side of Halloween, this would work great.

This is something that could easily be mass produced.  It wasn't really difficult either.  If you want to see how to make the coffin after it is cut out watch the video below.

I used Recollections Black Cardstock to cut out the coffin.  I then decorated it with some washi and a skeleton from a Recollections stamp set I picked up last year.

The Design Space Project I used is:

Happy Halloween

Though I am still wearing shorts most days when I am off from work, that doesn't mean I am not ready for fall and all the great things that come with it.

For instance, it will be in mid 70's today in southern California but I still have a pot of vegetable beef soup cooking in the crock pot.

But on to the reason you stopped by.  I was able to get a set of Halloween cards made so I can get them in the mail in the next few days.  In the spirit of using up my stash, I used a Recollections 6 x 6 paper pad I purchased I think last year called "Halloween Boo".  With that I added in some tags I bought from the Target Dollar spot, some cuteness I received in swaps last year, as well as some old and new washi.  I will put all the cards below the video I filmed showcasing these cards.

The inspiration for each card came from Pinterest.  I did a search for card sketches that included tags since I knew I had lots of those.  Each card starts with some of those card bases I have been hoarding forever.  I then added some paper, the embellies from my stash, added a stamped sentiment in some cases.  Done in a flash!  I have a total of 8 card in all ready to go.

Here is the video in case you want to watch:

Frankfully....Halloween Card

My first Halloween card of the season!  Isn't this little Frankenstein just the cutest?

I created him with a mix and match stamp set I picked up last halloween by Stampendous.  He is stamped in tuxedo black by Momento and colored with Copics.

I cut him out using a stitched oval die.  I then cut a stitched shape out of orange and off white patterned paper by Recollections.  On this I stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment. The sentiment came from a Recollections stamp set.

To add a little "extra", I added some cute washi's I just purchased. The one on the bottom I added the BOO using my small alphabet stamp by Studio G this time using Staz On Ink since this was a slick surface.  The bat came from a pack of felt stick on embellishments I picked up from Dollar Tree.

I can't wait to make some more Halloween cards to share.  Hope you are getting some time to play as well this weekend!

Blast from the Past....

Thought I would show you today something I made for one of the swaps I participated in last fall.  I wasn't blogging much during that time.  Not a really go reason not to blog, but I was working quite a bit so I just did not take the time to share the things I was making.

But here is a loaded flip bag I made to swap with a Halloween theme.  It was my first loaded bag.  I really had a blast making this.  I put my cricut through it's paces.  I made the ghost, picket fence, and cat you see here on the front of the bag. I made plenty of tags with the cricut.   I also added a few things I found at the Target dollar spot or at Michael's to share with my partner.

I think the coolest haloween item I purchased were some glittered bats.  They were too cute.

Below is a close up of a rosette I made with my cricut.  I decorated the front with that cute ghost image.
Since the beginning of December I haven't participated in any swaps.  I am finding that living in an apartment with limited space just does not always make swapping feasible.  I just don't have places to store the things I get.  So, over the year as I use some of my cool goodies I received I will let you know.  I plan to use as many up as possible before I do another swap.

Of course, knowing me I will probably break that because you just need to collect more stuff...right?😏

It's Boo-tiful Day!

For this card I decided to look for inspiration from Pintrest.  I knew I wanted a circular image ever since I picked up the Witches Dust Halloween Doilys by Recollections at Michael's.  They come with 4 designs, 2 in black and 2 in orange.

I found the sketch I wanted to use from here.  I kept it pretty simple.  The images are from Hampton Art.  I really liked having the stars and moons "hang" from the banner.  I did move my orange sparkle flower a bit down so you could see the stars and moon mobile.  The ivory paper is from Recollections.  The orange banner I cut using my Big Shot with a papertry ink banner die out of Colorbox orange paper.  The orange flower I made using a QuickCutz nesting flower die out of glitter paper by American Crafts.  I colored all the stamped images with my sharpies.  I used StazOn black because I knew it would withstand the coloring.  The silver brad I added from my stash and it is by The Paper Studio's Spare Parts.

I am not as happy with my coloring job as I would like to be.  I am still working on it and someday I am going to have to brave things and start my copic marker collection, but I am not there yet.  Coloring things and knowing how to shade and highlight is not one of my best skills.

I also used my envelope punch board to make an envelope for this card to go it.  I did have one that would meet the needed dimensions in my stash since my doily and flower peak over the edges.  For that I used a some patterned paper from the Tattered and Worn Paper collection by Recollections.
