Happy Weekend!
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. It is a balmy 74 degrees here. Wow! Christmas is gone and we headed straight into the spring. Here is one of my older stamps...it's still on it's wood mount. I colored it with pencils. I placed it on a kraft colored layer that I rounded the edges on. I tied a red ribbon around both of these layers. I also added a sentiment from Studio G on kraft cardstock that is stapled to the layers. The base card is from DCWV and came with that lovely dry embossing already in place. Thanks for looking.

Merry Christmas
Well the fun with family and friends begins today. I am happy to have the break from work. I pray everyone has a safe and very Merry Christmas. Here is another card to look at. The thank you sentiment is from Studio G and the butterfly stamp I actually can't remember where it is from. Both are stamped in adirondak dye ink in the colors basic black and cranberry. I popped up this layer with dimensional foam tape and underneath is a slightly darker shade of kraft cardstock. I then placed that layer on two strips of pp. I added the black jewels on the side and a big staple at the bottom. Enjoy!

Busy weekend
I am totally proud of myself. Whenever, I have a productive weekend (ie. getting the house clean) and get time in to do some creative things, I am excited. So this weekend, I finished some badge holders like you see in the picture above. These I made for some people at work. I am a nurse so, these things are very handy, not to mention pretty to look at. I then made them boxes to go in. I altered a pattern for a nugget box from splitcoaststampers.com to fit the holders. I used plain cardstock for the bottoms of each box and pp for the top. Most of the boxes I used Basic Grey pp, like the one shown above. I then used cardstock to make the middle wrap and the tag. The stamp I used is from Studio G. I cut the circles out using my cricut. I am totally excited how they turned out. Thanks for checking this out.

Finishing up
Well, it has been awhile since I have posted. I have been like everyone trying to get it all done before Christmas arrives. Well, the tree is up, decorated, and all the presents are below it wrapped. The Christmas cards just didn't happen. I still have played with a few and not even sure I will send those out either. This is something I made especially for my nephew. It will hold a gift card in the inside. I hope he likes it. I am very blessed, my family seems to enjoy the fact I give them gifts, cards, etc. that I make. I know not everyone does. I do enjoy it that is for sure. Anyway, the above card was made using pp from basic grey. The image is stamped with Ranger's adirondak inks, cranberry, basic black, and meadow on white cardstock shaped with a corner rounder punch. Then layered on kraft colored cardstock, that I think I cut using my Cricuit george cartridge. The stamps are from papertrey ink. Around the edges I used a Dasiy D rub on stitches. I am not good at getting these straight, but that is ok. Enjoy!

Wishing I had more time and energy
I so wish I had more time to do my papercrafts. I would love to be someone who could stamp pretty much every night. However, it just doesn't work. The bad thing is I know people who have kids that do stamp/scrapbook everyday. I guess I just need to make it part of my routine. But, so far that hasn't happened. There are just too many things to do and that I want to do. But, any time I do get to sit down to stamp, scrapbook, or pretty much make anything I am happy. Tonight, I share my latest creation. Another Christmas Card!! I need to at least send out the few I have made, but how do you pick just three people, out of all the people you want to send cards to? Hmm, need to think on that one. Anyway, this card is using a red base card I picked up on sale, I think at Hobby Lobby last year when I was in the Charlotte area. I believe the base is from Die Cuts With a View. I added some striped pp from my gigantic stack and then added a layer of white cardstock. All the images and the sentiment is from Papertrey ink. The ink I used is from Ranger...Adirondak. ( I know I use this all the time because I love that ink.) I added some fiber and lace. I cut the tag using a sizzix sizzlet oval tags and my sidekick. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

The other card...
This is the other Christmas card I made. It is using my new papertrey ink stamps. I would tell you the sets, but I can't remember at the moment. The flourish and the sentiment was stamped using Ranger's Adirondak inks. The star was stamped using Versamark ink and the gold fine embossing powder was sprinkled on and then heated. I added a layer of green metallic paper and raised up the sentiment using foam tape. I also added a bit of gold ribbon. Hope you enjoy. Happy Monday everybody!

Finally blogging again
I have been busy lately without much time for the blog. Sorry about that. I ran out this morning and got the pictures of the two Christmas cards I have made. I know, it's about time. So, here is the first one which I have named Christmas reindeer. I used my big shot to cut red pp with the slots in them. I then cut kraft cardstock to fit inside the slots. I tied a green ribbon around these two layers. I added on top a dry embossed reindeer that is from Sizzix. I then simply stamped on Merry Christmas on the bottom with my new Papertrey ink stamp set. I love it. I hope you do to. These could easily be done in bulk for you holiday card sending. Have a great day!
