Using Paper Scraps to Make Cards-Hope You Find Inspiration

Just a few cards I made with just scraps of patterned paper cut into strips. On a live over on Tik Tok, I made the backgrounds and then added the other elements to pull them together into cards. Hope you find some inspiration.

To see a video of these cards please head here.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you find things that inspire you. I love this hobby so much, so I enjoy sharing my cards with all of you. Hope to see you all soon. A Few Cards

Thought I would share some of these cards. Just me playing around with things to see what I can make. No video...just a lot of creative fun. A couple of the backgrounds were made using a gel plate. Whatever you do take some time to do what makes you happy. For me, it's cards. I love making pretty things.

Napkin Fold Box: Design Team Project for August

This is going to make a great gift for a friend. It was super fun to make. In thevideo over on YouTube found here, I show you how I decorated a box I had made previously. I also show a few of the goodies I am adding to the box for the recipient. I really loved how this turned out. The idea came from a tutorial from Mixed Up Craft. You can find her tutorial here.

I could not find the sentiment stamp I used from AlinaCrafts but here is the link to her store. She has some great items.

Measurements for this project include a 4 " x 4 " box.
For the Napkin fold, you need an 8" x 8" piece of patterned paper.
For the inside of the box and the lid top you can decorate with paper that is 3 3/4" x 3 3/4",
The sides of the lid are decorated with patterned paper measuring 3 3/4 " x 3/4 ".
The sides of the box are decorated with patterned paper measuring 3 3/4 " x 1 3/4 ".

No Pictures Here but Still Wanted to Share

Not all my cards make it to social media...though I wish they would! So here are a few that might spark an idea. Go on get out those supplies! A card is waiting to be made. Oh, and don't forget to send it to someone you have been thinking of. It will bring a smile to their face! To see the cards you do have to go to THIS LINK. I tried to find a way to embed it here. I also did not take photos of these cards. I apologize, but hope you enjoy!

February Cards that I didn't Get to Share

It amazes me I make other cards that I am not posting regularly, but somehow I do.  Here are few you missed...because I haven't posted them anywhere else.  There is also a video at the end of a few more.

Yesterday's Play Time Results

So yesterday I did something a bit different.  I did a live on my TikTok account (first one) and made some embellishment clusters for lack of a better word.  I think I had one person watching...just for a little bit.  It was good and I am glad it was just one person in my first live.  But, then I was on a roll, so I took a little break.  Then, I went on Instagram Live and turned those 5 embellishments into cards.  So of, course, I had to share these here as well.

Most of the products came from the Spellbinder's Card Kit from July 2021 "Damask Dream".  I did pull some other things out of my stash as well such as washi, bling, some other die cuts, and sentiment strips I had on hand.  This was just relaxing play.  I hope some of these inspires you.

The live on Instagram is in my profile there if you want to watch it.  My username there is @Samanthadesigns2.

Stitched Heart Card 2: Stepped UP

I did a short showing how to do this simple stitched heart. See this video: I then used one of my stitched cards to make a pretty simple card, great for a beginner: See this video:

Today I stepped it up a bit adding a die-cut frame colored with distress oxide ink and gold specks (thanks to some gold watercolor paint). I added some patterned paper and in no time had a card that was stepped up a bit. Hope you enjoy watching this come together.
