Flat Shaker Snowflake Gift Tags

I kept eyeing these 3 x 3 pieces of cardstock with the negative snowflake image I had after making last month’s sheetload of cards.  I had to use them.  I could not let them go to waste; they were too cute.  It also allowed me to use up some other 3 x 3-inch scraps of white cardstock as well.

I decided I wanted to make some cute flat shaker gift tags with them.  The to and from is on the back.  These didn’t take long to make at all.  I hope you think of this if you want to try to make your own, if not I do have these up for sale in my Etsy shop.  Just see the link below if you would like to purchase them.

I hope you enjoy my flat shaker gift tags.

To see the video of these tags being created please head here.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you find things that inspire you. I love this hobby so much, so I enjoy sharing my cards with all of you. Hope to see you all soon. If you wish to support this channel even more, please see the buy me a coffee link over on the right banner. Have a great day! Happy Crafting!

Need a Quick Tag? Make One with Just a Few Supplies.

Cardstock, a Dollar Tree Sticker, and a fine-line marker. That is all you need to make a quick cute tag. Oh, forgot the hole punch. I added that later. Hope you are getting a chance to be creative today! You can watch a video to see the tag being made here.

12 Tags of Christmas

So for the first time ever, I decided to do 12 Tags of Christmas.  I focused on simple designs, that I thought those who are new to crafting could do with only a few supplies.  I think I did pretty good with that thought in mind.  I leaned heavily on my washi stash ('cause I need to use it up somehow).  There is a video to look at all of these closer that you can find here.  But if you want to see anyone of these being made, head on over to my YouTube channel here to see the 1 minute or less video for each one.

Tag Repair

So here is the tag I tore the other day when I was working on my St Patrick's Day tags for a swap I am in.  I was threading the ribbon through when bam.....I tore the cardstock.

I wasn't happy about this because I was totally digging my tag.  It was coming together so well.  Well, I mentioned on Facebook in one of the groups I belong to about this issue, relating how bummed I was.  When a genius...said, "hey if you use a tag topper it will probably cover the rip."

Why didn't I think of that?  Yep, I thought I can totally save this tag thanks to this idea.

I went to my cricut, eyeballing how much of a tag topper I would need.  I used the slice feature to get the just the top of the tag made, then welded two of them together to make this:
I scored the topper in half.  I colored it with Mustard Seed Distress ink.  (None of my green colored distress inks matched the bright green paper I was using).

I put some glue on this tag topper.  Attached the topper to the top of the tag.  I carefully added my ribbon.  This is the end result:
If you are wondering why I am not showing the entire tag, well the swap I entered  still hasn't picked partners.  Regardless, of who is my partner I don't want to spoil the surprise when they get their tags by showing them here.  So I will only be showing this sneak peek at this time.

Once the swap is received, I will post this tag with the other two I made for the swap.

If you have any great tips for saving those papercraft projects you accidentally smudge, or rip...please share in the comments below.  If you have had it happen to you, I guarantee someone else will have the same problem.  You may already have the answer so it won't hurt to share it.

Thanks for stopping by.
