Let's Make a Card Using: Twine, Red/Yellow, Spicy, and 3x3 as the elements

 

Thanks to Crafty Roulette on YouTube, I have another card put together. The elements that needed to be used this week are in the description. Below I will have a link to Crafty Roulette's YouTube channel in case you want to join in this coming week. I used images from Cricut Design Space for my image. I didn't have anything that would work in a physical stamp. I printed this out and then set to work making it a 3 x 3-inch panel. I colored the bottle and label with the colors red and yellow. For the twine I just gathered it up in the corner...now bows this time. The banner I hand cut using Cricut glitter cardstock. I love that stuff. It is no shed and the perfect weight. I had to include some gold flat back gems of course. Here is where you can find Crafty Roulette here on YouTube.

You can use Vinyl on your Cards?

 I forget I can use vinyl on my cards. When @jaxwritesongs put out her newest song "I know Victoria's Secret", I just had to make a card. I knew what I wanted to have on the card so I turned to the medium I knew would be the easiest for this card, vinyl. That meant hauling out my Cricut which has not been used in a bit. Everything I needed I found on design space. I love it when that happens. I have put the link here in case you want to make your own card.

Using those Scraps and Adding Gilded Flakes

 One of my resolutions this year was that I would make sure to use scraps from my scrap bin one card a month at the minimum. Here is February's card. I used some scraps that measured about 1 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. I placed them on a piece of cardstock covered in double-sided adhesive. I left gaps on purpose and added gilding flakes to the rest of the exposed adhesive. I added a few other elements including a sentiment I made using Cricut Design Space. It was cut out using my Cricut Explore. This only took a little time. So, I ended up making 3 more cards. To see those beauties you can see them below Hope this inspires you!

Split Card Desing = 4 CARDs!

 I have done the split card design using half of the 8 1/2 x 11 inch card stock....but nothing says you can't use the whole thing.  Then you have 4 cards done in one sitting.  This worked out so well.  Thanks to Cricut design space and my Cricut Explore these beauties were put together in about 15-20 minutes.  Hope this inspires you to make a few cards today!

Printable Vinyl Used on Cards

 Critter Cards Anyone? 🐷🐘🦨 I have had a few sheets of critter stickers I made using #cricutdesignspace and my #cricutexplore hanging out in my stash for some time. It was time to do something with these cuties. I have only included all of the cards I made using these stickers made with printable vinyl below.

Let's Use up Some Washi!

 

So I have been doing some budget 💵friendly cardmaking ideas over on TikTok. This one I found on Pinterest of using Washi tape to create a frame then adding your image/sentiment in the middle.

You all know you have too much washi tape....so get those rolls out. This is a great way to use some of it up...and yes if you finish a roll of your favorite washi I promise there will be other washi tapes waiting in the wings to become your favorite. Stop the hoarding! ( I am not yelling at you I am yelling at myself. 😆) I have made several of these, some with all Dollar Tree items, others with things from my stash that I am trying to use. This particular one is a sticker I made with my Cricut Explore on Design Space. Let me show you the rest of these...I think they are so cute!

Cricut Corner: Using Design Space to Create a Card

 When I saw these drawn 🌺poppies in Cricut Design Space I fell in love.❤️‍🔥 I knew I wanted to make a card using them. I immediately started putting together the card in Cricut Design Space to give me some idea of how I thought I wanted to use them. I will show you the process of how I use Design Space to get the sizing correct. Then how I took those elements to create this classic card. There is a bit of Copic coloring and doodling on this card. I hope you enjoy it. Here is a link to my Cricut Mat in Design Space in case you want to use these Poppies on a card of your own. Hello Friend: A White Gel Pen is a Powerful Tool

 Here's the card I shared over on TikTok. You can find that video here. 📜 I used a few die cuts I did on my Cricut using Cricut Design Space images and of course, a Spellbinder's die. With the leaves and flower I added a bit of dimension with foam tape. The Hello I cut out of Recollections Rose Gold cardstock and used the same as a frame around the green. The friend under Hello Friend is a sticker I made on my computer. It was looking a bit plain until...I broke out the white gel pen. This card has led to a lot more doodling on cards lately. You'll start to notice that in some upcoming cards I am sure.

Split Card Design

 I wanted to give a Split Card🪓 Design a try. I have seen this done on the lovely @jennifermcguireink

YouTube channel. I love how you can get two cards from one doing this. If you want to see the two designs I made you can head on over to my Youtube Channel. The link is in the bio. I did not do a great job editing it so please accept my apology for that. Please stick with me...I will eventually find my editing groove. It's a learning process. I also realize at the end I forgot to put an ending...🤦. How everyone does this on a regular basis..I don't know, but I know I have a lot of respect for content creators. It isn't easy. Hope you like all the cards I put together with this technique!

Using Geometric Shapes to make Quick Cards

 I wanted to get some quick cards together to beef up my stash of 🎂Birthday cards. So I went to a super simple standard...geometric shapes🔺🟣🟩. Geometric shapes are also good to use if you need masculine cards. If you are wondering where I got the main images I will be happy to tell you. The star is from a Dollar Tree sticker pack and the beeI made using Cricut Design Space. The bee was printed on printable vinyl to make a sticker. Back to the Fun!

My work life has been challenging the last year.  That didn't leave much time for blogging, but it doesn't mean my love for papercrafts has diminished.  I still have been creating regularly since our last meeting.

Lately it has been fun playing around with mini-pocket letters and embellishments.  Here are a few that I will be sending out in the mail to swap partners.  Though these are only sneak peeks.  I will post everything in it's entirety once I am sure the partner has received it.
