Wedding Explosion Box: A Nice Keepsake for the Couple

I love making handmade gifts for everyone. I love how this Wedding Explosion Box turned out. It is a pretty simple design. I definitely could have had more elements but I loved the vinyl elements I was able to add thanks to Cricut Design Space. The bride is a Cricut fan so I was hoping she would appreciate it. I loved I had enough of the cardstock left over to make a coordinating bag and card to go with it. The card included my bigger gift of some cash for the happy couple to hopefully spend during their honeymoon. Now they can add some photos some comments on things they want to remember as a keepsake they can keep for some time to come.

Creative Way to Add Money to a Birthday Card

So this card is inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. I love this cute way of gifting money to someone on their birthday. It is also so simple. This would be a great card a beginner could really do to bring their cards to the next level. I can just hear a kid squeal when receiving a card with money tucked into the candles. Highly recommend you giving this one a try.

Napkin Fold Box: Design Team Project for August

This is going to make a great gift for a friend. It was super fun to make. In thevideo over on YouTube found here, I show you how I decorated a box I had made previously. I also show a few of the goodies I am adding to the box for the recipient. I really loved how this turned out. The idea came from a tutorial from Mixed Up Craft. You can find her tutorial here.

I could not find the sentiment stamp I used from AlinaCrafts but here is the link to her store. She has some great items.

Measurements for this project include a 4 " x 4 " box.
For the Napkin fold, you need an 8" x 8" piece of patterned paper.
For the inside of the box and the lid top you can decorate with paper that is 3 3/4" x 3 3/4",
The sides of the lid are decorated with patterned paper measuring 3 3/4 " x 3/4 ".

Patterned Paper Challenge Day 9: 3 x 3 Gift Cards

Don't forget to use those patterned papers to make a stash of cards that you can put on top of a gift or in a gift bag. This was so simple and from one 6 x 6 patterned paper, you could easily make 4 gift cards. I kept this one pretty simple. I am really making quite a dent in my August Spellbinders Card Club Kit paper "Art School". So proud!

I did a short video...less than a minute over on YouTube. You can click here to see it.

Giftcard Card Made with Spellbinders March Kit

๐Ÿ“ note to self: make sure to always have on your ๐Ÿ”ตcircle light when taking pictures of your cards. The next few cards I will be sharing are going to have a yellow tint.  Try to ignore that if possible.   I needed a few cards that could hold a gift card so here is one I made. The gift card pops up when the card opens.  Again my March Spellbinders card kit made this easy to put together. ๐Ÿ˜

Dutch Door Gift Card....Card

I needed a card that would house a gift card and stumbled across the Dutch Door card via Pinterest. I watched a video from another crafter and decided to use my March Spellbinders Card Kit to make a few of these for some of my co-workers. If you want to watch how this simple card comes together head on over to my YouTube channel. The link is in my bio.

The tutorial that inspired this is by LeeAnn Greff.

3x3 Scrapbook-Gift Idea

I made these scrapbooks and "buggie" holders for them for my Social Work Colleagues๐ŸŽ. I was inspired when I saw @scrapdaworld do this for Valentine's Day on her Youtube channel. I have added my process for putting the books together on my YouTube Channel. I will be showing you how I put the Volkswagon "buggie" cars that hold these cuties in my next video. I think these turned out great. I loved using my stash along with the fun Petticoats and Pinstripes collection from @echoparkpaper .

Better late than never, Right? ๐ŸŽ⭐ My work life has been a bit stressful lately. Hence the reason I am just loading up this content to YouTube. However, I still wanted to share it since it could be used for any gift-giving event. Just swap out the bling and color of the bag. For this gift bag, I went simple with Dollar Tree elements to make it simple enough for anyone. I used a bag from the Dollar Tree, added the bling, and the closure is a simple bow with a star paperclip (also from the DT). Check out the video by finding the link here.

Decorating Gift Bags for Christmas: Option 2

Ready to wrap those presents?๐ŸŽ Why not add a little pizazz to them? This time I used some simple stamping, a bit of texture paste, and a few embellishments to step up this plain red bag from Dollar Tree. I don't think I would do this for every gift bag, but adding to these gift bags for those special folks I am giving to has been a lot of fun. This one is pretty simple. Just a bit of stamping along with using a stencil and texture paste...voila', you have a winter wonderland. These are the bags I usually gift some of my A2 cards to friends. It holds 10 cards/envelopes nicely. Stamping on these bags and using some of my embellishments also helps me to use the cute stuff in my stash. For the easiest way to step up a gift bag stay tuned and later this weekend, you'll see the easiest way to bling out a bag. ๐Ÿ˜

The video for this bag can be found HEREHope you will take the time to check it out.

Decorating Gift Bags for Christmas: 3 Options

Guys...I don't need anymore๐ŸŽ… Christmas Cards! So I started dressing up the bags I will use to wrap presents๐ŸŽ. I made so many cards back in July as part of the Christmas in July series along with so many other cardmakers. You can see these if you scroll back on my Instagram feed. Here is one of the three options I came up with for decorating gift bags. This is definitely the more complicated approach of the three options I will be sharing. I was inspired by a similar project by Mixed Up Crafts on YouTube. The link to her much more polished tutorial is in a link in the description of the YouTube Video I made of putting this bag together. I hope you will head on over to my YouTube Video to check it out. You can find that video here.

I wanted to share a tutorial of this gift card holder I designed in Cricut Design Space last year. I have updated it a bit. I still love this project. It came together just as I had imagined in my head (that doesn't often happen around here). I hope you will check out my YouTube video tutorial. If you have Design Space I will be happy to share the project for a small fee which I discuss in the video. I also have a few of these made if you need one but don't have the time. I can mail one to you...again for a small amount.
Head on over to my YouTube channel HERE to view the tutorial.

Christmas gifts

This year I wanted to do something for all my co-workers.  Something cute that doesn't break the budget.  I turned to my favorite places of course:  Youtube & Pinterest.  These magnet clothes pins that are glamed up are everywhere.

I thought they would be perfect.  This would lead to me using my stash.  I could do these assembly style which is great to do while watching TV.
I also knew I could make the packaging super cute.  Most of my main project needs came from the Dollar Tree:  The clothes pins, the bags for packaging, and some of the embellishments.  Everything else came from what I already had or from Michael's.  The mod podge and magnets I got from Michael's using that handy 25% off my entire purchase coupon.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

The clothes pins were topped with either washi from my stash or paper.  A layer of glossy mod podge I added to the top for a nice shine.  I just added the magnets to finish them off.  I cut paper to pin them on.

I put four pins in the clear bags I got from Dollar Tree.  These I topped with doileys I had in my stash.  Of course, then I had to turn on the Cricut.  It was feeling left out.  So I used the Cricut to make the "For You" labels.  I felt it was missing something so I added snowflake stickers to the label as well.

Below is a video is you want a close look.  Happy Crafting!

An Apple a Day ....Makes the Boss Happy!

Happy Boss's Day to all you who get to boss someone around....

I went to pintrest of course to come up with what to do this year.  Here is the site I used to make my gift this year.

I kept it really simple.  The only thing I would change is I would not use any cornstarch that is mentioned in the recipe for the caramel sauce.  I totally missed the "if needed" part of this and added it in.  Totally did not need this and made my caramel a bit hard so it was hard to scoop out with the apple.  It was still delicious however.

I gave my gift a day early this year since waiting till tomorrow would not work in my schedule.  If I had done that, my bosses would have never received a thing.

If nothing else, I did win points from the boss for the "cuteness" factor.

The card is just a plain sheet of paper with a circle punch folded in half and stapled to it.  The envelope is from a package I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby made by The Paper Studio.  The twine from Do It Yourself and the cute jar came from the Target Dollar Spot.

It is Christmastime!

I have been crafting away.  But I have not shared.
Sorry about that.  I have already given some gifts
including some cute tags and ornaments.  Here are
some others that have yet gone to the recipient.

Not sure how well you can see this, but I made
some angel ornaments using an idea
from Pintrest.   The original idea from craftyjournal.com.

I then found some small cellophane bags at Walmart in
the cake section.  I used a image from my Cricut Elegant
Edges to make the topper.  I stamped the Sentiment from
Papertrey ink in Meadow ink.  I folded and stapled in place.
Easy!

So you can't see all the cute tags already given, but here
is one I did just playing around.  The sentiment is from
Papertrey ink.  The to and from came from a
Studio G set.  The tag is die cut from a sizzix
set. And the tree is from Cricut's Joys of the
Season.  I hope you enjoy and if I don't get
back here again have a Merry Christmas!
