You are my Sunshine

I am still heading back to my March 🕰 Spellbinders card kit.   Maybe because it was my first ever kit.  Anyway layered up a few of the scraps from the paper pad. The sentiment came from the die kit.  So simple and a new design for me.  💖

Hello-Daisy Edition

Spellbinders has come through again for my creative mojo. 🌼 I used the April Daisy dies to put together this simple card. It was a bit labor-intensive cutting out all the dies, then putting them on the card to make this background but it was so worth it. Daisies are my favorite flower. I never really understood why until I watched the movie "You've Got Mail" the first time. When Meg Ryan's character states that daisies are her favorite flower and points out "aren't daisies the happiest flower?"...I knew...I loved them because they do look happy and make me smile whenever I see them. I hope this card will make someone smile when they receive it. If you want to see me put this card together head on over to my YouTube Channel. The link is here.

Cup of Daisies...Colorblocking

Here is one last way to use the main image🌼 from the Spellbinders April Card Kit of the Month. It uses a bit of color blocking which then spotlights the image. Again, this is another way where you don't have to do any coloring. I like coloring but I do have to be in the mood to do it. 😏So this is perfect for when I am not. This is also a way to use some of those scraps you have lying around. To see how I made this card head on over to my YouTube channel. You can following this link.

Cup of Daisies: Revisited with Paper Piecing

I am back ya'll with card 2 🌼using the Spellbinders Card Club Kit of the month...focusing on this cute focal image in the set. It is a mug full of daisies or the way I like to think of it a mug full of happiness. In card #2 of this series, I am going to do a bit of paper piecing for the mug portion of the image. I added a bit of yellow to the center of the daisies to complete the main focal image. Paper piecing is a great alternative if you aren't into coloring mediums. This kept the coloring to a minimum. I had thought I would not be coloring anything on the main image but it just needed that bit of yellow to also bring out the yellow in the patterned paper in the background. To see the video where I put this together head-on over to my YouTube channel. You can head here.

Thanks for stopping by!
