I Love This so Much. Think You Will Too!

Such a simple card that I replicated with things that I have on hand. Adding the texture of the ribbon though just made this pop. I love this so much. Something so simple can be so stunning. Remember that! You don’t always have to make a card that takes you hours. Sometimes simple is best. I hope you will try adding texture like ribbon behind a negative die cut space. I think you will like it too!

Simple Card Design: Great one to use to Make a Set

This is one of the pinned cards that is simple, quick to make, and you can make a set for a gift in no time. Really, I would add this simple card design to my projects for those you are making gifts for this year. They will love it. It has a classic look. You can definitely make it fancier if you wish, but you know me I like the simple ones. Hope this inspires you to go make a card for someone today!

Thinking of You Owl

Sorry my crafty friends that it has been a while since I have posted.  My work life has been particularly demanding, so any time I have had I have been making pretty things.  Just not blogging about them.

But on, to one of the cute cards I have sent out recently. (That's right, I actually sent a card...Don't know about you but I make a lot of cards just never get around to the sending part).

This is one I made to send to a co-worker to let them know all of us at work had been thinking about them.  My Cricut was the star of the show for this one.  That turned out to be a good thing since I needed to make 4 of them.  So, while  I had everything out I just went to town.

The card base is a tri-fold from K&Co.  I have had these beautiful cards in my stash foever.

The background patterned paper is from Recollections.  The shape on the front that has "We have all been" is created with the Cricut and then die cut.  The cute owl is all from Cricut access.  I put it together using Ranger Multi-Medium.

On the inside, the Thinking of You sentiment was also created using a Cricut access sentiment.  I added more polka dot patterned paper on the inside to add some more interest.

This card was 5 x 7 so there was plenty of room for everyone to send well wishes to our co-worker.

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

Gone Fishing

I totally CAS'd this card:
http://www.paperintolove.com/stampin-up-wetlands-happy-birthday-card-1560/

I have had these beautiful fishing stamps from
Lasting Impressions for years, but I always struggle
making a card with them.  When I saw the inspiration
piece, I knew I had to use those stamps.  They worked
perfectly.  I stamped everything in Adirondak's slate.
The edges have some slate ink as well to add definition.
The sentiment is from Stampendous.
These three embossed lines just add a little something,
don't they?
This card is very simple and incorporated some bling
from my stash.  The patterned paper is from a
mat pad by K&Co. called Julianne.  The butterfly
is a sizzix die and cut from some left over patterned
paper.  The sentiment is stamped using Adirondak
Black ink.  Katie& Co. made the stamp.  The card came together
pretty easily.
