Super Simple Quilt Card

 I love a good quilt pattern that I can add to a card.  I struggle though to make those patterns work for me.  When I saw this hack from @JenF over on TikTok, I had to try it.  I loved how this turned out and will be using this over and over again I just know.

Christmas in July Scrapbusters

 Here is one way I used my scraps to make a card.  I took all the strips to make a new background.  This turned out so good.  There is nothing better than strips is there to make a quick and simple card.  Hope you enjoy!

July Sheetload of Cards are Done

Let’s make a card together.  I used my Cricut and Cricut Design Space to create the greeting and the focal element.  I loved how the gold glitter and gold calligraphy pen did with my Cricut Explore.  I think red glitter might have been more eye catching on the Kraft cardstock, but I am still pleased with the results.  If you want to purchase these cards please see my link to head to my Etsy Shop.

Using Gifted Scraps to Make a Card

 In my quest to use up scrap cardstock and paper on my desk, I decided I also needed to use up scraps from my “die-cut bin”.  All those extra cuts I had made while doing other projects are put in that bin.  In that bin, there are die cuts recently gifted to me from a friend I made on TikTok. 

 

All of that said, I decided to cluster the elements on the card front.  I used to do this all the time, so it was a fun design to revisit.  I think you see this type of design in scrapbooking as well.  I need to do this more often because it was such a fun card to make.

Using Card Sketches and Scraps

I am actively working through all the scraps that are in a pile on my desk.  Here is another card using those scraps.  I did cut into the yellow paper, I admit, but I wanted something bright that would cover up the scrap that had some words die cut out of it.  Even those types of scraps don’t have to be tossed.  Now, I admit, I even get to a point where I go that is too small to keep.  But what you keep for scraps and what you toss is ultimately up to you.  I hope this gives you further inspiration if you want to make sure you are using all the scraps you can because we all know this is an expensive hobby.  Hope you get time to get creative today.

Colorblocking with Ink Blending

 

 If you are like me and coloring is not your strong suit, you need to try color blocking.  This card is simple masking and color blending at its best.  A stamp positioner makes this so much easier.  You could do this with acrylic blocks, but still suggest a stamp positioner of some kind to get things lined up for the repeated stamping.  To save on ink blending, you can also use solid pieces of cardstock scraps you have lying around.  It adds color to your piece that doesn’t have you getting your markers or colored pencils.  The stamping is also just as simple, stamping in black ink or even a contrasting color. What to do When You Can't Tie a Bow

I know I am not the only one, but why do I feel so bad about not being able to tie a decent bow for a card?  Well, no more.  I am embracing all the ways I get around that.  For tiny bows, I use the technique using a fork.  Today though I will show you the way I fake it.  This is my super simple way of putting a bow on my card that anyone can do.  Believe me, if I can do this so can you!  Hope you find this helpful.

Using Scraps and a Background from the Most Recent Gel Plate Session😍

 I really haven’t had a minute till the very last day of June to try out the June Sheetload of Cards.  But I had a background from my recent play around with my gel plate and all those scraps from multiple projects.  So, I took just a few minutes to try out the sketch at least.  I love how it turned out.  I also got to try out my latest background cover plate.  I am already in love with that one. 😍 I have used it so many times since.  I also decided to die cut the sentiment out of the same gel plate impression.  I hope you enjoyed the video.  I so appreciate all the comments!

Jazzing Up Scraps for a Quick Card

 Sometimes I love to alter the patterned paper I have for just a bit of something extra.  My favorite thing to do with this black and kraft combo is to add a bit of white to it either with an acrylic white pen or gel pen.  For the white on Kraft piece, I decided to try out this new purple gel pen I picked up from Dollar Tree.  I was way too impatient and ended up smudging it, so that will be a technique to try again for another day.  Hope this very simple card inspires you to look at your patterned paper differently.

The Color Combo That Always Works

 Today I am sharing with you one of my most favorite color combos.  The cards are always cute, every time.  So it is simple, black and white, with a pop of color.  Today’s card has a pop of green.  But really the color could be pink, red, blue, teal, you name it and it would look stunning.  Technically this card also has a bit of pink.  However, really even if the cactus had no flower on it, it still would be an amazing card.

Simple Sketch to Help Use Up Those Scraps

 I have been on the hunt lately, looking for sketches or card inspiration to help me declutter the pile of scraps on my desk from projects I have completed.  I usually cut my scraps up into about 6 different sizes.  But I realized I am still wasting a lot of paper that way.  There are so many cards to be made, my friends, with those small scraps of paper.  So here is a card sketch, that can take a few of those strips and make a card quickly.  Adding a mat layer also would make it pop even more.
