Floating Background Elements

This was a card I design I have seen many do. I just had to try it myself. I used this beautiful paper from the So-So-Sweet Collection by the Paper Studio. There are things I would tweak the next time I make a card like this. I share those with you along the way in the video which you can find here. I hope you will give this card design a try as well. It is a simple but effective technique to give your card a unique look. It is simple so great for beginner card makers too.

One Card Sketch: 3 Very Different Looking Cards

Every time I go to a sketch blog or challenge I am amazed at how one sketch can be translated into so many different-looking cards. So I wanted to try that out myself today with one of the MANY card sketches I have pinned on Pinterest. It's time to put those pins to good use! I loved how different each of these cards look. I used up many elements in my craft room which was an added bonus. I thank you for joining along on my journey. You can view the video of these cards being made here.

🎂 Washi Birthday Cake Card: Minimal Supplies

Oh my! This turned out so cute! Simple drawing, washi, a sentiment, and some flat-backed pearls. That is all that it took to make this card. The washi and pearls are from Dollar Tree. This could not be simpler. Beginners, you must try this one!

Using Up Scraps from my Scrap Bin: April

Each month I try to make sure I am using scraps out of my scrap bin to make a card. This month I tore up some scrap pattern paper, layering it with a glue stick. For the focal point, I added an embossed damask emblem (at least that is what I think it's called). Super easy card anyone can do.

Simple Cards Perfect for Anyone

I highly suggest using geometric shapes to bulk up your card stash. Using Geometric Shapes really helps you make simple cards that work for anyone and for any occasion. There are tons of different design possibilities. Below are two bonus cards I made from all the leftover shapes I had. You can also check out the video here.

Inexpensive Simple Card with Just a Few Products

It only takes a few products to make a quick card for a friend or family member. This is something I love about this hobby. It can be a simple card but mean the world to the recipient. If you are a beginner this is one to try! I picked up some Washi Stickers from Aliexpress. That combined with some cardstock and glitter vinyl from Dollar Tree, and the sentiment was all that was needed. I can't encourage you enough that if you are new to this hobby start with black dye ink. Add some generic sentiments also. There is so much to do with just a few tools. Hope you will check out my other posts for more inspiration.

I have a video on this one...< than a minute for those with a short attention span. You can find it here.
