This card is so stinkin' cute in person. I am in love.
I started out with this week's CAS(E) this sketch # 131. That's another thing I love...this sketch. It is so versatile.
I used a top folding 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card in white cardstock by Recollections. I got out my wonderful Cricut and cut out balloon images from the first few years cartridge. I placed them where I wanted and then sliced them out of a piece of white cardstock. This layer measures 4 x 5 1/2.
I cut out a piece of patterned cardstock by Amy Tangerine's Rise and Shine 6 x 6 paper pad in the same measurements to use as a backdrop for my balloons...hence the nice striped/patterned balloons.
Here's where I was inspired by Pintrest. You can see the pin here. I just loved the initial use of HB for Happy Birthday. For my card I cut out the letters using the Cricut in thin chipboard and also some Graphic 45's Time to Flourish 6 x 6 paper pad that coordinates beautiful with the collectioin by Amy Tangerine. It looks like they were made for each other.
I then stamped the sentiment in Black Staz On ink on vellum. Cut the end to make it look like a banner and curled it a bit using my bone folder. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company. I also used a bit of the Amy Tangerine paper at the end to make it look like it was part of the banner, but it really was to hide the glue.
I hope you enjoy seeing this card. I know I enjoyed making it.
