It is Christmastime!

I have been crafting away.  But I have not shared.
Sorry about that.  I have already given some gifts
including some cute tags and ornaments.  Here are
some others that have yet gone to the recipient.

Not sure how well you can see this, but I made
some angel ornaments using an idea
from Pintrest.   The original idea from craftyjournal.com.

I then found some small cellophane bags at Walmart in
the cake section.  I used a image from my Cricut Elegant
Edges to make the topper.  I stamped the Sentiment from
Papertrey ink in Meadow ink.  I folded and stapled in place.
Easy!

So you can't see all the cute tags already given, but here
is one I did just playing around.  The sentiment is from
Papertrey ink.  The to and from came from a
Studio G set.  The tag is die cut from a sizzix
set. And the tree is from Cricut's Joys of the
Season.  I hope you enjoy and if I don't get
back here again have a Merry Christmas!

Dreams

This morning I took out a stamp set
by Technique Tuesday.  I love the set but
never use it.  It was time to get inky.
I used a direct to paper card front I
had made a few nights ago with some
Color Box Chalk inks. Added layers of
paper, a couple of flat Stampendous
gems, a nice black scallops, a die cut
flower and I was done.  I like it!

This is What Happens When You Can't Sleep

Woke up last night and could not get back to sleep.
These cards are a result of that.  All the inspiration
came from Pinintrest.
This first card uses a spellbinder die on off white
cardstock and K&Co's Juilianne Designer mat pad.
Just cut both in half, place together to make one shape.
Add a border, a sentiment by Studio G, and some pearl
embellishments.  Done!
This second card, I found the inspiration from the
Dynamic duos challenge blog. This card layers
stamped images from Papertrey ink, Technique Tues.,
and Inkadinkado.  I used slate and a blue ink from
Ranger's Adrindak set.  I layered paper lace, pearl
embellishments, a tag with a Studio G sentiment.
All this on a pre made card by the by Recollections.
Here is a nice geometrical card.  I used a triangle
embossing folder, some glitter tape, and two stamps.
The triangle stamp is by Just For Fun.  The
sentiment is by Katie&Co.

Hope you enjoyed!

First Bath

I have not scrapped many of my son's baby
pictures.  It was time to change that.
So yesterday afternoon I took out the patterned paper
I bought when I was pregnant I. '09 by
Little Yellow Bicycle called Baby Safari
and got the pictures of mama giving her
first bath completed.  I die cut some sizzix
Flowers from orange cardstock to take up some
of the dead space and added faux stitching
to the triangles with my daisyds rub ons.
Yeah!  I had a lot of fun with that.

Time for Fall....cards at least

to create a couple of cards.  The cooling weather
meant breKing out the fall stamps.  Nothing fancy
here.  Hope you enjoy!

Gone Fishing

I totally CAS'd this card:
http://www.paperintolove.com/stampin-up-wetlands-happy-birthday-card-1560/

I have had these beautiful fishing stamps from
Lasting Impressions for years, but I always struggle
making a card with them.  When I saw the inspiration
piece, I knew I had to use those stamps.  They worked
perfectly.  I stamped everything in Adirondak's slate.
The edges have some slate ink as well to add definition.
The sentiment is from Stampendous.
These three embossed lines just add a little something,
don't they?
This card is very simple and incorporated some bling
from my stash.  The patterned paper is from a
mat pad by K&Co. called Julianne.  The butterfly
is a sizzix die and cut from some left over patterned
paper.  The sentiment is stamped using Adirondak
Black ink.  Katie& Co. made the stamp.  The card came together
pretty easily.

Scrapbooking Time

Scrapbooking has been my focus the
Last two weekends.  These pages were a
snap.  I have been using the papers from my
For The Record kit by We R Memory Keepers.
Those pages rock!  No need for much embellishment,
though I still can't help myself.

The Love that face page has alphas from
Momenta and are a find from Big Lots
along with the stickers from the page.
The stickers are from firefly or from the kit.
I also added a block of post it notes from a set
by Real Simple.  Those post it's could be used
for anything.

The cowboy page repeats the paper from the
kit and letters from Momenta.  I used another
Post it and stickers from the kit.  The heart idea
came from an issue of Creating Keepsakes.  I cut
a heart out using my George cartridge and Cricut.
Then I covered the heart with scrap Papers from
Mt stash.  I added a sticker and drew stitch
lines around the heart.

I love both of these pages.  Hope you have a great
weekend.

Business Card Holder

Today I felt like crafting.  So I used a tutorial found here:

http://lshdesigns.blogspot.com.au/2010/09/business-card-holder-tutorial.html

I made a business card holder using black cardstock,
a couple of pearl stickers, and some black
and gold washi tape.  Easy peasy thanks to the great
tutorial.  Tomorrow I will take it to my office and see
what it looks like.

Stampingbella leads to the MOJO

It's time for another MOJO sketch challenge.  Challenge # 303
to be exact.

I used my cakebella image from Stamping Bella.  I colored
her with pencils and paper pieced her pants.
Then inked the edges with Adirondak's Pitch
Black ink.

All the papers are from a 6x6 paper stack by Prima
called North Country Collection.

I made banners using papers from the
collection.  Tied some black baker's twine around
them and called it done.

Combined Card Challenge Leads to ....

I decided to combine MOJO 302 sketch and
the inspiration challenge from The Curtain Call
Inspiration Challenge.  I am not sure I am thrilled
with the result but it's what I came up with.

I did not have nautical themed stamps, so I
focused on the purse from the inspiration collage.

I stamped my image on blue cardstock and
paper pieced that onto the image I stamped and
embossed in gold.  I really wanted the purse handle
to look like a chain.
The mesh at the bottom adds texture and I do like
the addition of the gold buckle at the bottom.

The yellow star adds a bit of pop.  All the paper came
from my stash of leftovers.

I used StazOn in black and Ranger's Adirondak in
Jet Black to emboss with.

Another Sketch that brings the MoJO

http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2013/07/mojo-monday-301.html

I decided to try another sketch challenge.  This time
MOJO 301 is the inspiration.  I used my George
Cricut to cut out the ovals.  The stamp is from
Katie & co.  Isn't it cute?  I colored with colored
pencils.  A sizzix die was used for the flowers.
Papers from my stash and some pearl accents
tie it together.  This was fun sketch.  I will
definitely be using it again.

A Sweet Sketch is Helpful

http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/2013/07/sss218-july-6.html

I was checking out sketch blogs and found a winner
last week.  See the sketch above for my inspiration.

I finally got a bit of time this morning to see what
I could do with this sketch.  I am happy with the
results.  I used up scrap paper and even got
an old hero arts stamp (the shadow blocks)
inky.  The flowers are from Studio G.
The sentiment is a go to stamp I use all
the time from Stampin' Up!

Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

Color Blocking with Papertrey Ink Stamps

This is inspired by a challenge from Splitcoast Stampers,
to use color blocking.  They even have a great tutorial.

All the stamps are Papertrey ink.  They are from the
Life set or Fillable Frames set.  The die is also from
Papertrey ink.

I used StazOn black for the sentiment and frame.
Village Cream from Papertrey is also used for the
image on the front.

The paper is from my scrap pile.  I definitely want
to do this again.  It is a great way to use up those
Scraps.

Gate Card Fold Happiness!

I have been getting a lot of scrapbooking and card making done recently.
I want to try to share some of this happiness.  First a variation of
a gate card fold I found on Pinintrest. Here is the inspiration:
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch/?v=wDgRB_B0u7k&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%2F%3Fv%3DwDgRB_B0u7k

So, I started out with paper scraps out of my pile.  I had no
idea where this card might go, but love the results.
The carriage stamp is from Inkadinkado, stamped
in StazOn brown, and colored with
pencils.  On the small inner flap I used Versamark ink
and a cute stamp by Hero Arts of baby feet.
Then for the sentiment I used
StazOn again with a stamp by Stampendous.

I know just who will be receiving this at work soon.

Hope you enjoy and have a great day.

Butterfly Notecards

http://mailebelles.blogspot.com/2012/04/framed-out-3-and-trendy-tree-tops-day-4.html

Check out the above website for my inspiration for today's post.

Today I wanted to make a simple notecard set.
I decided to use my sizzix butterfly die to accomplish this.
Sad, but true story, this die gets little use.
Now I have a 4 yr old and find I have to create in stages.
So, a few days ago I used my big shot to cut out the butterflies.
I used some bright colored Reflections cardstock
I picked up on sale at Micheal's.
I also cut the Polk a dot paper in strips to prepare as well.
This morning I put my first card together and saw it
wasn't coming together as I wanted. (Picture 1)
But after rounding the corners, using a cuttlebug folder
in the top layer, making the strips a bit smaller I was
happier with the results.  I added the sentiment from
Stamin' Up! with StazOn jet black ink.  All done!
 I ended up with a
five card set but that will work too.
See picture 2 for the final results.

An Afternoon of Scrapbooking

Got to do a page of our fall carving fun today.  The page came together quickly thanks to MME's For the Record background paper.  I found some Basic Grey boxer collection paper to make all the letters and cut outs.  My Cricut did all the work.  I used my George's basic and Tags, Bags, & More2 for the tag and bats.  All together I finished in about 30 minutes.  Not too bad.

Simple Valentine

Here are a couple of pictures of some simple Valentine Day cards I made a few months ago.  The stamps and die are from Papertrey ink.  I embossed the background with a cuttlebug embossing folder.  I used Stazon's black ink, added a couple of stick on gems, and Voila'. All done.  Enjoy!

Bands of color

I have been inspired lately by cards on Spitcoast Stampers and Pinintrest that have a masked area with a band of color.  So I finally got some time to try out my own versions.

I pulled out my Papertrey Ink set called Life and my Denim blue Adirondak ink and went to work.

The result is a simple, clean, easy card that I love.  For both cards it took me only 15 minutes to assemble materials and stamp.

Hope you enjoy them.

Finally got it.....

So this is the card I am happy with.  I totally scratched the other and started again.  The card base is from a set I picked up at Michael's on clearance from their Recollections line.  I used my Cricuit to cut the green Polk a dot paper from We R's For the Record collection.  I used the George and Basic Shapes and the Elegant Edges for my shapes.  The sentiment is handwritten and not my best handwriting mind you.  The fish stamp is from Judikins.  It is a stamp that has been in my collection for ages.  For the fish I stamped with Staz on Jet Black on to patterned paper in my stash and added some twinkling H2o's to add some sparkle.  I added some brads for interest.  -sigh...  Feeling much better about the Father's Day card Henri will give to my husband now.  Happy Saturday everyone.  Hope you get some time to get your fingers inky today.

Still Thinking

So far I still haven't figured out what to do for the Father's Day card.  Let me know if you have any suggestions....

A Work in Progress

So I am trying to work on a special Father's Day card. I found inspiration as you can see below....but so far it is not coming together the way I want it to.  The card below I found on Pintrest at google.uk.com.  Anyway, I will keep you updated as I figure out how I want this to look in the end.  Feel free to leave suggestions...
